What a busy week I've got - had a fantastic response at the Stradey Park Hotel Wedding Fayre - organised by Christine and John who run CJ Wedding Fayres - you can guarantee turning up at a very well organised and attended fayre.
I took 5 deposits on Sunday - never ever have I taken so many and got a full Saturday of appointments.
Lots more new items are in stock including a gorgeous crystal handled cake cutter and server set - looks gorgeous in photos and masses of bling in the form of decorations for cards.
Had a busy weekend producing lots of samples for various brides and received some fantastic papers from America which will be used for some brand new samples.
Well thats it for today - so much to do so I'll update later in the week

Well, another week ended and its been even busier than the first. Met some lovely people and lots of excited brides. Rebecca Evans of Gowerton picked up her invites and bought a gorgeous motorbike themed cake topper. Look forward to making her order of service as the design is a bit different to normal.
Net a lovely photographer - Graham Harries - check out my links on here and you'll see some of this work.
Handed everything over to Sara Davies - hope her wedding in Neath goes well next Sunday. She's been lovely throughout and loved the table plan and guest book she had today.
Got a lovely theme to work on some designs for - Alice in Wonderland. Need to do a bit of research on that and it will give me an excuse to watch the new film.
Looks like my holiday has gone by the board as should have been flying to Lanzarote on Wednesday - oh well it means I get to do the Stradey Park Wedding Fair.
Thats just about summed up my week - speak soon - Louise

Well I'm so totally surprised as to how busy we've been in just the first week - I've secured 5 orders for wedding stationery and got loads of customers interested in my handmade greetings cards. Especially popular are the ones that are created bespoke for the recipient with their names on - loved the A4 size 100th Birthday Card I had to do - thats as much an honour to be asked to design that as anything.
I'm in the middle of designing a load of invites so will keep this brief. There was a jaw dropping write up in Thursdays Evening Post about Kevin Green opening my shop. You can see some of the photos taken at the opening at this link
Totally brilliant and the website has been designed by a local and very talented web designer called Owen Wood.
What a fab week all round

What a wonderful 2 days I've had - the openig day was absolutely amazing - everyone who had anything to do with getting the shop up and running was there and many more friends and new customers who I'd never seen before.
Kevin Green (the now not so 'Secret Millionaire' came along to open it bringing the wonderful internet deisgner Owen Wood and Ashley Hartnoll who took all the photos I've just uploaded to facebook. You can find me on facebook as 'Louisekellydesigns Lewis'
The Evening Post sent along a photographer who is running a story in the Business section of todays paper.
I truly thought I"d be able to get on with making cards until word got around that I was there, but the second day was even busier so it looks like this has defintely been the right decision.
If you're looking for really nice greetings cards in welsh or english, are getting married or want anything designing then its well worth paying a visit to 136 St Teilo Street, Pontarddulais, SA4 8RE

Thankfully there's a bank holiday weekend so I can spend every waking hour (and hours I should stiill be sleeping) down getting everything ready for opening day.
As fast as I can tick one item off my 'to do' list I think of another one.
I spent most of today pricing up hundreds of rolls ribbon and then trying to sort flowers out. At home I had them sorted by colour order but to make life easier in the shop they need to be sorted into price order. The shop looks like a bombsite when I left at 9pm tonight and as I've got a customer coming at 10:45 tomorrow morning I've got to be there by about 6am to try and get some kind order there.
It will be worth it has become my chant - I really really wise the rain would stop so I can get my cards and paper over there.
My very talented husband has started assembling my sign. My name is now on it in lovely ivory acrylic letters. The bottom of the shop panels are now a very vivacious lime green so its going to make it very easy to spot when I give directions.
Well I'm going to sign off now as its 12.17am and I can hardly keep my eyes open. Since I've been home I've been decorating lovespoons to give out to customers on the day. Its going to be fab for anyone who comes and I know they'll be really surprised and never ever guess that its been 3 weeks since I signed the contract.
Next update tomorrow

Welcome everyone to my new blog. I'll try to update it at least weekly and possibly daily - so the challenge is on. I have been up since 4.15am this morning - mad I know but I've got so much to do with loads of weddings on as well as trying to get everything done in time for my opening next Tuesday. Even just a month ago I didn't think I'd be opening my own shop.
This is truly an exciting time for both myself and anyone getting married from the South West Wales area who should make sure they pop in to have a look at what will be truly a one stop wedding shop.
